Series IV consists of items from Williams’s time as a student at Wayne State University. Included here are reference letters written for Williams by others including Ed Hirsch, Colette Inez, Charles Baxter and others, course notes referencing specific works and authors he was studying throughout his education, as well as notes, ideas, proposals and drafts of his dissertation, The Poetics of Open and Closed Forms.
