The Slipstream Collection contains the editorial papers relating to the history of the magazine and press, including manuscript submissions for both the magazine and chapbook awards, the editors' correspondence with various authors, and some production materials.

Historical Note
Edited by Robert Borgatti, Livio Farallo, and Dan Sicoli, Slipstream began publishing poetry and fiction in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1981. Since 1988 the magazine has sponsored a yearly chapbook contest. Contributors to the magazine have included Gerald Locklin, Lyn Lifshin, Wanda Coleman, Charles Bukowski, A.D. Winans, and Sherman Alexie.

Abstract
The Slipstream Collection contains the editorial papers relating to the history of the magazine and press, including manuscript submissions for both the magazine and chapbook awards, the editors' correspondence with various authors, and some production materials.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged in four series: Manuscripts, Correspondence, Records, Chapbook Contests, and Issue 36 Submissions.
The first three series comprise the first accession and contain materials dated 1978-1990.
Series IV, Chapbook Contests, comprises a later accession which is arranged in five files:
Series V, Issue 36 Submissions, includes materials from accession 2019-pcms-007.

Physical Location
Boxes from the second accession (Series IV, boxes 1-38) are stored off-site and require addition time for retrieval.
