Scope and Contents From the Series:

In 1963, the Niagara Frontier Chapter assisted in the organization of the Central New York Chapter (Syracuse-Ithaca). In 1964, it reorganized by creating the Upstate New York Division and becoming the Niagara Frontier Chapter. Soon after, a Genessee Valley Chapter (Rochester) was organized. In June 1965, the Upstate New York Division merged with the New York Civil Libetrites Union (based in New York City) to form a statewide New York Civil Liberties Union.
