This collection consists of posters advertising various student events related at the University at Buffalo. These events were sponsored and co-sponsored by student organizations.
The posters in this collection are arranged into six series: Series I. Speakers and Conferences; Series II. Clubs and Organizations; Series III. Performing and Visual Arts; Series IV. Social Events;
Series V. Political Action; Series VI. Student Government and Political Meetings; Series VII. Athletics; Series VIII. Miscellaneous
Within each series, the posters are arranged chronologically. In each box, the folders are placed in reverse order so as to facilitate the addition of new posters.
Posters too large to fit into boxes were placed in map case drawers. For these posters the words “Map Case” accompany the normal box and folder number. Furthermore, for these posters the box number refers to the map case drawer in which the posters are found.
The posters in this collection were collected by University Archives staff.
