The Joseph Manch Football Artifacts, circa 1935, includes a white wool football sweater with 22 in blue on back, "Manch" sewn inside, blue wool football sweater with white B, "Manch" sewn inside, a Banner (blue lettering on white) for University of Buffalo-Carnegie Tech football game, Sept. 27, 1930.

Abstract

The Joseph Manch Football Artifacts includes items from the players football career at the University at Buffalo.

Biographical Note

Joseph Manch was born in Poland in 1910 but spent most of his life in Buffalo, N.Y. He graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1932 and was a member of the football team. From 1957 until 1975 he served as Superintendent of Schools in Buffalo. He died in 1988.

The artifacts are arranged in two containers by size.

Acquisition Information

The Joseph Manch Football Artifacts was a gift to the University at Buffalo Archive from Mrs. Joseph Manch on October 29, 1993, accession number 93-033.
