Historical Note
The School of Pharmacy was established in 1886, the second division of the University to be organized. In 1922, the School required the completion of only two years of high school work for entrance, gave instruction on three alternate days/week, and graduated students at the end of two years. These requirements were raised to complete high school graduation in 1924, and in 1927, the work of the School was increased from two to three years.
In 1924, the School was absorbed into the College of Arts and Sciences. In 1940, the School was accepted by the Graduate School.
