This collection contains Christopher Densmore’s personal papers, the majority of which are about archival practice and conferences. These papers include information on the SPINDEX II, an archival program Densmore helped develop during his time as a library assistant at Cornell University.

Biographical Note

Christopher Densmore joined the University at Buffalo Archives staff in 1974 as an assistant archivist. He transitioned into the position of University Archivist in 1998. Densmore left the University Archives in 2001 to assume the position of Curator of the Friends Historical Library at Swarthmore College.

The University Archives acquired this collection upon the departure of Christopher Densmore from the University at Buffalo. It was accessioned by University Archives in 2004.
