Historical Note
The New York State Association of Junior Colleges was established in 1947 and changed its name to the New York State Association of Two-Year Colleges (NYSAC) in the 1970s. NYSAC was described in its Annual Journal for 1977 as "a state-wide professional organization of persons, institutions, and corporate structures engaged in and concerned with two year higher education. It represents both public, private, not-for-profit and proprietary educational institutions and their personnel."

Acquisition Information
The records of the New York State Association of Two-Year Colleges, formerly known as the New York State Association of Junior Colleges, are deposited in the University Archives of the University at Buffalo by agreement made between NYSAJC and the University Archives in May 1976.
