Jewish Archives of Greater Buffalo, Synagogue records
Scope and Contents
I, B'rith Sholem records include account books dating from 1884, the majority of which are written in Hebrew, small receipt books and memorandum pads, Hebrew Almanac for the year 5700, and one record book of the Young Peoples Society. Series I also includes correspondence relating to cemetery matters, membership records, meeting minutes, and information regarding displaced persons as a result of World War II.
Papers of Temple Sinai, Series II document Temple administration and include financial records, committee minutes, constitution and by-laws, membership records, correspondence, reports of presidents, building campaigns, and bulletins.

Abstract
Synagogue records of the Jewish Archives of Greater Buffalo. Records of Congregation B'rith Sholem (Pine Street Shul) and Temple Sinai include account books, record books, receipt and memo pads, photographs, deeds, correspondence, committee minutes, and bulletins.
Arrangement
This collection is arranged in two series as follows: I. Congregation of B'rith Sholem records, 1884-1986 and II. Temple Sinai records, 1953-1978.
Acquisition Information
The collection was transferred from the State University of New York College at Buffalo (Buffalo State) Archives in 2006 by the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo.
