Overview

Mathematician Egbert Miles' personal collection of lecture notes and textbooks from his student years at the University of Chicago.

Chronology

1910
Finished his dissertation, "The Absolute Minimum of a Definite Integral in a Special Field," under Dr. Gilbert Bliss, and earned a Ph. D in Mathematics at the University of Chicago.
1911
Appointed as Assistant Mathematics Professor at the Yale University.
1925
Became an Associate Professor.
1930
His calculus textbook was published from McGraw-Hill.
1955
Took a position as a Visiting Professor at Wesleyan University for a year.
