Biographical Note

Jacob Kramer served in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade during the Spanish Civil War and in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a political activist and labor organizer throughout his life. In 1972 he joined the Gray Panthers and became coordinator of the State University of New York at Buffalo student chapter. Kramer received a Bachelor of Arts and two master's degrees from the University.
