Historical Note
During the 1960s and the 1970s, the University at Buffalo experienced
a surge of campus unrest incidents. Student, faculty, administration and even
members of the local community were involved in the unfolding events on campus
that protested many social and political issues including the Vietnam War, the
ROTC presence on campus, racial bias in University athletics, and the
Department of Defense research (Themis). This open and ongoing collection
gathers the personal materials and recollections of those who were involved
with the events at the University during that time.
