Historical Note

The Linda Yalem Safety Run, originally known as the Linda Yalem Memorial Run, was first held at the University at Buffalo on September 18, 1990. The run was held to promote personal safety and remember UB student, Linda Yalem. In 2018, the University at Buffalo announced the end of its sponsorship of the race due to declining participation.

Acquisition Information

The Linda Yalem Safety Run collection was transferred to University Archives by Phyllis Floro, in October, 2022 as accession 2022-063.
