This collection contains files regarding the administration and maintenance of the Darwin D. Martin House maintained by John Bis, assistant dean in the University of Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. In addition to correspondence, meeting minutes, inventories and other administrative files are multiple files related to the Historic Structure Report conducted by Hasbrouck Peterson Associates.

Historical Note

In September 1982, University at Buffalo President Steven B. Sample announced that the administration of the Darwin D. Martin House would be turned over to the School of Architecture and Planning. The school would continue to administer the site until 1993, when the Joint Cooperative Agreement was signed between the State University of New York, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Martin House Restoration Cooperation. After the signing, the day to day management of the Martin House was transferred to the Martin House Restoration Corporation.
