Overview

A collection of vocational surveys completed by individuals who graduated with bachelors degrees in History from UB between 1970-80.

Historical Note

In 1980-81, the university's History department set out to survey its alumni in an effort to improve the department's offerings to current and future students. A letter and accompanying questionnaire was sent out to all History BA graduates from 1970-1980. 146 individuals responded. The surveys were blind (no name identification was required on the survey form). The accompanying envelopes have been removed from the collection and the city and state of the return address noted at the top of the survey when available.

Arrangement

The collection is arranged very straightforwardly, the background information about the survey precedes the returned surveys themselves. The surveys are organized numerically according to a number that was assigned to each returned survey as it was received by the office.

Acquisition Information

The collection was received by the University Archives on October 4, 1994 from the History Department via Professor John Larkin. The original accession number was 94-029.

Accruals and Additions

No further accruals are expected to this collection.
