Arrangement

This series is arranged in twenty-eight subseries broadly by publication date or date of presentation/lecture. Some papers are arranged by date in which they were edited, and therefore may not be located in the year in which they were initially published. Multiple versions may exist across different subseries. If the date of publication is unknown, but the date range of the material in the folders is known, the date range is used. Undated materials are located in a subseries titled, "Undated." Born-digital materials are integrated into corresponding subseries based on content. The original order of the born-digital files is retained.

Processing Information

Digital files created by Arnold Berleant were transferred to the University Archives on various types of storage media including compact discs and a USB flash drive. Where possible, digital content saved on storage media was migrated from the storage media, normalized to standard preservation and access formats, and transferred to a stable preservation environment following the University Libraries' Digital Preservation guidelines. Some folder titles were altered and file arrangement reorganized to assist researchers in locating and identifying digital content.
