From the Series:

Rachel Friend was associated with Temple Beth Zion in the 1880’s and 1890s. These materials were found in Jacob Goldstein’s stamp collecting papers after his death. They were originally from Abraham Carrel, his father-in-law, who was a member of Beth Zion.
