Scope and Contents
This subseries documents Powell's political activism at the University at Buffalo and is divided into three sections: General University political activity, Teach-ins/outs, and the Closing of the Squire Hall Student Union. The terms "Teach-ins" or "teach-outs" refer to student demonstrations. The files concerning Powell's Squire Hall arrest also include notebooks of his prison writing.
