Contains digital video of singer-songwriter John Legend's December 2, 2015 appearance in Alumni Arena for the 2015-2016 Distinguished Speakers Series.

Begins with a video montage of Undergraduate Student Choice Speakers, 1996-2015 (0:45), and introductions by executive director of the School of Management Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Thomas Ulbrich and Undergraduate Student Association president Minahil Khan (2:12). John Legend's speech (7:20) covers topics such as the issues of poverty, education, and the criminal justice system (10:07), how organizations are working to make a change (23:47), and what we can do to help (29:12). Followed by a question and answer session hosted by Vice President for Student Affairs Dennis Black (33:40), in which Legend answers the following questions from the audience: What advice do you have for college students who are struggling to decide whether to do what they want to do versus what they feel like they're supposed to do after they graduate? (34:24); How can we push the conversation on racial inequality everywhere, as well as on college campuses (37:54); How did you develop a passion for public education reform and working with underprivileged students, and how much progress have you seen so far? (40:00); Do you have a moment or special person in your life that inspired you to do what you do? (42:43); What are your thoughts on how to make Teach for America and similar service opportunities more impactful to the people they serve? (44:18); Can you tell us about your college experiences in jazz and acapella? (46:34); What was the biggest obstacle you've come across in your career thus far, and what have you done to overcome this hardship? (48:30); What does Black Lives Matter mean to you? (50:02). Legend then moves to the piano on stage to perform his songs "Ordinary People" (53:20) and "All of Me" (58:35).
