Policy Files, 1944, 1960-1972
Scope and Contents
These files contain policy statements of the American Civil Liberties Union, clippings, from local and national newspapers, and correspondence. Much of the correspondence consists of letters to the Niagara Frontier Chapter and its officers approving or taking issue with particular stands taken by the ACLU. The letters and newspaper clippings serve as indicators of local perspectives and attitudes towards civil liberties and the ACLU.
