Abstract
Born in Rhode Island, Berrigan earned his BA and MA from the University of Tulsa after serving in the army during the Korean War. Although he lived for short times in Chicago, Buffalo, Iowa City, and England, he spent most of his time in New York, where he edited and published C Magazine and C Press Books and taught at St. Mark's Poetry Project.
